Jennie Maines

My desire to create art began earlier than I can remember. I was surrounded by people that encouraged me to pursue my creative talents.

My artwork consists primarily of oil paint on canvas. I like to start with a small painting in oil before applying paint to a large canvas. This allows me to map out my vision and commit to a color palette. All of my paintings are finished with a handmade floating wood frame. Painting takes me to quiet place of relaxation. The ocean scenes I paint reflect the joy and peace that have always accompanied my visits to the ocean. It is my hope that possessing my paintings will affirm and even revive your love for the ocean and give you a sense of peace and tranquility.
